Το πρώτο επίσημο βήμα, εν όψει των επόμενων αυτοδιοικητικών εκλογών, έγινε στον Άγιο Νικόλαο, με την ανακοίνωση του συνδυασμού “η δύναμη του Εμείς“, με υποψήφιο δήμαρχο τον Γιώργο Γουναλάκη. Η πρόθεση του άλλωστε είχε ανακοινωθεί αρκετά ενωρίτερα. Το επόμενο, χρονικά, διάστημα θα λειτουργήσουν οι χώροι στο διαδίκτυο και στα κοινωνικά δίκτυα.
Όπως ο ίδιος ο κ. Γουναλάκης αναφέρει στο video που παρουσιάζεται:
Το όνομα λοιπόν του συνδυασμού μας δεν θα είναι κάτι από τα γνωστά, κάτι από τα τετριμμένα. Δεν έχει πολιτική χροιά αν και μπορεί να χαρακτηριστεί έμμεσα έντονα πολιτικό. Αντικατοπτρίζει την νέα φιλοσοφία και την προσπάθεια να αναδείξουμε τον τρόπο διαχείρισης της επόμενης ημέρας. Δίδει το στίγμα του ότι κανείς πλέον δεν περισσεύει στον Δήμο αυτό και φωτογραφίζει άμεσα την νέα έννοια του ΕΜΕΙΣ. Την απλή έννοια μιας λέξης που θα αποτελέσει τον θεμέλιο λίθο της προσπάθειας μας. Για εμάς δεν θα υπάρχει κανένα ΕΓΩ, όλοι θα στηρίζουμε την δύναμη που παράγει η λέξη ΕΜΕΙΣ.
Εξ ου λοιπόν και το όνομα του συνδυασμού μας
Η Δύναμη του ΕΜΕΙΣ.
Με αυτήν την ονομασία θα πορευθούμε και με αυτήν την ονομασία θα παραμείνουμε στα Δημοτικά πράγματα, γιατί από σήμερα αναγγέλλουμε ότι ο συνδυασμός μας θα παραμείνει ενεργός και μετά την εκλογική διαδικασία. Και όταν εννοούμε ενεργός, εννοούμε ότι θα παραμείνει ζωντανός με πλήρη λειτουργία, κριτική και προτάσεις που θα αξιοποιούνται ανάλογα των δυνατοτήτων.

PRESENTATION OF PARTY AND OF OUR LOGO
Dear fellow citizens, dear friends,
Just as we promised when we announced our candidacy a few months ago, we are here today, on Christmas 2021, to make a meaningful beginning, presenting the name of our party and its logo. We are determined to keep all our commitments to you, giving a clear picture in words and actions and starting from the simplest task.
Well, the name of our party will not be something typically used in elections but something very significant. It does not have any political tone, although it can be indirectly characterized as strongly political. It reflects the new philosophy and the effort to highlight the way we will manage tomorrow. It gives the impression that no one is to be left out, in this Municipality and highlights the new concept of US. This will be the word which will be at the center of our effort. For US, there will be no EGO. We will all support the power of the word US.
Hence the name of our party is:
The Power of US.
With this name we will proceed and with this name we will remain in the Municipal field, because from today we announce that our party will remain active even after the electoral process. And when we mean active, we mean that we will remain alive, functioning, criticizing, and making real the suggestions which have been made, according to the possibilities.
As far as the logo is concerned, we choose the “olive branch”, to be the main reference point of our logo.
The “olive” in principle is a tree which is bountiful.
It is also a symbol of peace and purification.
The use of olive branches in many kinds of ancient rituals (such as purifications) defines the symbol of the olive, as a “tree of good”.
In the Old Testament, the Olive is the tree of hope, but also the messenger tree of divine mercy.
In Greek tradition, it is considered to be, the tree of peace.
So, we couldn’t leave the branch out our logo. At the same time, two open hands, two hands of hope, in the colors of all the factions of the parliament, in a freehand drawing, with a different artistic point of view, completes the composition of our logo.
The logo that has just taken its place on your screen is its first appearance.
This logo definitely marks the following day, the day where ‘US’ competes with “I”. Soon, we will meet again to announce to you, our initiatives. Initiatives that come from our need to be ready if and whenever necessary.
The choice will now be yours and soon we will give you all these guarantees that make you feel that you will make the right choice.
Along with our logo, you will see the British flag accompanying our video. The flag will be changing since we would like several of our videos to be in English as well as Greek. This is another sign of a new mentality and growth, which this land needs so much.
In conclusion, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the whole team of the party, who offer ideas but also selfless work, making true a dream in which – all of us – are players.
